Varadero Ibiza adds a PortCleaner system for its oils and hydrocarbons zone
A shipyard is not a marina: boats get repaired there, which means more direct contact with oils and fuel in one specific spot.
A different kind of installation
Varadero Ibiza is a shipyard: maintenance, repair and haul-out of vessels. That kind of activity concentrates oil and hydrocarbon spills in very localised zones, different from a berthing marina, where the focus is bilge pumps and refuelling.
What they have asked us for
Varadero Ibiza has requested a PortCleaner system specifically for a zone of their facilities where oils and hydrocarbons concentrate. It is the same system already running at Marina Ibiza, adapted to a use with more engine oil present and less unburnt fuel.
Why we are sharing this now
This installation is in progress, not yet operational. We are sharing it because it confirms something we think matters: demand does not come only from leisure marinas. A shipyard with a concentrated oil problem is exactly the kind of case where bioremediation delivers something no absorbent solves in a sustained way.
